Obituary

Albert Francis De Meo passed away peacefully at his beloved home in Auburndale, Massachusetts on May 17, 2022 after a long illness. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 2, 1933 and lived his formative years in Waltham, Massachusetts. He was a graduate of Waltham HIgh School and served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict. After his time in the service, he attended college for both his undergraduate degree and Master of Business Administration at Northeastern University, Boston. Albert "Al" spent several years in sales in the electronics field, and enjoyed real estate management, the stock market, international travel, music, Italian Opera and visiting with the family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always kept those in his presence laughing at his vast array of puns, stories, and jokes. He was a resident of Auburndale for 54 years.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Jacqueline (Soeldner) De Meo of Auburndale, 4 children Albert (Dawn) De Meo of Groton, MA, Rosemarie (Gaetano) Cerundolo, of Rockport, MA, Dr. Marianne (Bill) Harris of Chicago, IL, Thomas (Sharon) De Meo of Half Moon Bay, CA and 9 grandchildren, Corey, Antonio, Nicolette, Gaetano, Trevor, Julie, Marissa, Lucia, and Isabella. He is predeceased by his father and mother Antonio and Rosalia DeMeo, of Formia, Italy and Waltham, MA, sister Margaret Ferrazzani of Port St. Lucie, FL, brothers Raymond and Francis De Meo of Waltham, MA, and sister Antoinette Bernier, of Milbury, MA.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, May 20th, at Burke and Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington Street, West Newton, Massachusetts from 4- 7 pm. Funeral Mass in celebration of his life will be on Saturday, May 21, at Corpus-Christi - St. Bernard Parish 1523 Washington Street, West Newton, MA at 11 AM. Internment following at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham, MA. Masks strongly encouraged to safeguard other friends and family with health conditions.
