Alberta Rose Triplett (Travers) of West Newton, MA passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at the age of 85. Alberta, a graduate of Booker T. Washington H.S. Shreveport, LA, (54'), Dillard University (58') and a 34-year veteran of Pan American and Delta Airlines was the beloved wife of the late Ernest A. Triplett Jr., loving mother of Lydia L. Triplett and adored grandmother of Evelynn G. Triplett, of Newton, MA. Alberta, the daughter of the late Deacon James W. and Eddie Mae (Fuller) Travers, sister of the late James W. Jr. and Morell W. Travers, is survived by her brother Clarence W. Travers of LA and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 11AM in the Chapel at Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut St. Newton followed by interment in Newton Cemetery. An hour of visitation will be held in the Chapel immediately prior to the service from 10-11AM.
