Obituary

In Loving Memory of Alberto Rametta
Beloved Husband, Father, Nonno, Brother, and Friend

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude, we announce the peaceful passing of Alberto Rametta on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, at the age of 80. He was surrounded by his devoted wife Maria and his loving daughters Sabrina, Sandra, and Lisa.

Born on September 8, 1944, in Calabria, Italy, Alberto was the cherished oldest son of the late Vincenzo and Angelina Rametta, and beloved brother to the late Valentino (Lina), Franco (Marilena), and Maria Rametta.

Family was everything to Alberto. The true treasures of his life came from loving and watching his family grow — always with Maria, the love of his life, by his side. Together, they raised their three daughters with unwavering love and care, creating a home filled with warmth, tradition, and deep connection.

Alberto was the proud Nonno of seven grandchildren — Brianna (and her husband Charles Maier) Kyli, Isabella, Brody, Dante, Donny, and Zoey— and most recently helped welcome his first great-granddaughter, Cameron, into the family. He is lovingly remembered by his sons-in-law, Ryan Frazier and Zack Sambucci, who he welcomed as sons into the family.

He is also survived by his sister-in-laws, Cristina Bonadio (Tony), Luigi Villella (Enza), Antoinette Bonadio, and Lina Nicolazzo (Nicola), who all cherished him deeply.

Known for his infectious laugh, quick wit, and generous heart, Alberto lit up every room he entered. He was hardworking and dedicated, with honesty and loyalty that formed the foundation of lifelong friendships and earned the deep respect of all who knew him.

He enjoyed life's simple pleasures: peaceful mornings of fishing, the joy of gardening, and the adventure of long road trips — often side-by-side with Maria, enjoying the journey and the stories it brought.

Alberto was a pillar of strength to many — a man who shared his wisdom generously, led by quiet example, and inspired others through his unwavering work ethic and kind spirit. He was there for every child, a mentor to many, and a constant source of comfort and guidance.

His legacy is one of love, resilience, and deep family roots. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the memories we carry and the values he instilled in all of us.

Funeral from the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home Wednesday June 25, 2025 at 9AM followed by a Celebration of Alberto's life at 10AM at St. Bernard Church, West Newton and interment in Newton Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, from 4-7PM in the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, West Newton. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and honor a life lived with strength, humility, and immense love.

"What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us." – Helen Keller

Rest peacefully, Alberto. Your love will forever guide us.
