Anne Marie "ReRe" Claflin of Newton, passed away October 13, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 84. Beloved wife of high school sweetheart Donald F. Claflin. Born and raised in Dorchester, she and Donald raised a family of 6 children in Newton. The loving mother of Donny and his wife Sandra, George and his wife Suzanne, Ellen, Richard and his wife Diane, Brian and Chris. A proud grandmother to Shannon, Brendan, Kaitlyn, Mackenzie, Kevin, Craig, James, Ryan, Erin, Michael, Christopher, Amanda, Patrick, Caroline, Colin, Emily, Molly, Sarah, Connor, Shane, Kyle, and great-grandmother to Vivienne, Callum, Charlotte, Andrew, Ava, and Amelia.

Dear sister of Rosemary "RoRo" O'Neil, she was predeceased by siblings Edward Youngclaus and Denise Hattenburg. Mrs. C was a mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many, but always had room in her heart to make everyone who passed through Dexter Road feel like family. Even life's smallest moments, she celebrated in a big way.

She was a 1962 graduate of Boston State and a proud member of the Newton North Athletic Hall of Fame.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 17th at 10:30AM in Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 573 Washington St. Newton. Visiting hours will be Monday evening from 4-8PM in the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St. West Newton. In lieu of flowers, donations in ReRe's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at ALZ.org
