Anne M. Coursey

Anne Marie Moynihan Coursey passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 10, 2026. She was 78 years old. Anne originally hailed from Newton, and spent many years of her life with her family in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

Anne was the daughter of the late Judge Cornelius J. and Evelyn (Cunningham) Moynihan; and the sister of the late Donald Moynihan and Cornelius Moynihan. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 42 years, Thomas Patrick Coursey, of Wellesley.

She is survived by her son, Brennan Coursey and three grandchildren, Aidan, Kylie and Katia, and her most darling daughter Annalise Coursey; all living in Massachusetts.

Anne attended Manhattanville College; a graduate of the class of 1970. She was a former employee of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.

She was a faith based community member, and had a strong relationship with Father Jim of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Wellesley. Anne was a proud member of Voice of the Faithful, where she protected St. James the Great Church until its closure.

Affectionately known as ‘Annie Anthrax,’ she had the most accepting and compassionate heart, who took care of a generation of children. Anne created a safe haven for her daughter and son’s community of peers.
