Clifford Scott Thorne, 51, was called to God on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. He was the cherished son of Joan Thorne and the late Earle Warren Thorne.

Born in Newton, MA on October 5, 1970, he was a graduate of Newton North High School. Scott's love of basketball took him to Villanova University. It was on the basketball court where Scott found his lifelong passion, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family & friends.

Besides his mother, Scott leaves behind brother Eric, sister-in-law Carol, nephew Damien, niece Cadence, as well as many beloved family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 11 am at Myrtle Baptist Church, 21 Curve Street, West Newton, MA. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 pm. Masks are required inside the church.
