Carol George Reid

Carol George Reid, 80, died at her Newton home surrounded by family after a long struggle with COPD. She is survived by her beloved husband David whom she met when they were both teenagers, her son Matthew, her daughter-in-law Michelle and grandsons Elliot and Spencer.

She also leaves her sister Madeline of Bellevue, WA, her brother Thomas of Fayetteville, NY and brothers Peter and Charles both of West Hartford, CT. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends near and dear.

Carol was a graphic design graduate of The Rhode Island School of Design and spent her career in advertising in Boston.

At 5’3” and age 72, she won a powerlifting competition and set a record for her age group. Her sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
