Charles J. Mclaughlin of Norwood died Thursday, September 28 at the age of 84. A longtime resident of Norwood, Mr. McLaughlin was son of the late Daniel and Margaret (Edgington) McLaughlin. Beloved husband of the late Warita (Eckelman), and loving brother to Gertrude J. Furdon of Medway and the late Barbara E. Serverson, he is the dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. For many years, Mr. McLaughlin was a painting supervisor for Boston Edison. He was a member of the Norwood Elks and will be remembered for hosting yearly fundraisers at his home raising money for Camp Fatima in NH. A proud veteran of the US Navy, having served in the Korean War, Mr. McLaughlin will be interred in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne following a private family service.
