Christopher
Rich
September 12, 1962 – April 1, 2026
Christopher Anthony Rich, 63, of Wellesley, passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2026. Born in Germany and raised in Bolton, Connecticut, Chris graduated from Harvard University with Honors in 1984 and earned his MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, graduating first in his class. He went on to a distinguished career with leadership roles at Gillette and GlaxoSmithKline before retiring in 2015. In retirement, he remained active as an advisor and investor, serving on the boards of several local businesses and maintaining a committed role as a distinguished member and trustee for the Fox Club.
A dedicated athlete and coach, Chris poured his energy into soccer, softball, baseball, and the occasional perfectly straight golf drive. A lifelong and passionate Red Sox fan, he took great joy in celebrating the team's long‑awaited triumphs.
Chris was a man of character, conviction, and generosity. Known for his quick wit, endless stories, and gift for bringing people together, he was a loyal friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Natalie; daughters Julie and Emily; sisters Kimberley DeFilippis and husband Frank, Tracy Zajac and husband Edward, and Rebecca Hope and husband James; brother Scott Rich and wife Lori; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Norma and Alden Chick. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
