Constance M. York, 96 of Newton died Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Stone Rehabilitation and Senior Living in Newton.

Born in Newton in 1928, she was the daughter of Albert J. and Elizabeth (Major) Frechette. She was predeceased by her siblings Irene (Frechette) King, Clement, Martial, Beatrice (Frechette) Biron, Albert, Bernard, Denis and Normand Frechette.

Constance married Charles A. York on March 24,1973. The couple was married nearly 25 years before Charlie's death July 7, 1997. She worked for The Telephone Company for 31 years. She was very involved with St. Jean's Church in Newton where she played the organ and sang for many years. She was lovingly known as "Auntie Connie" by her two Godchildren Frances (Frechette) McLean and Roger Biron, as well as many nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 from 10-11:30AM, at Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, West Newton, concluding with remembrances, and followed by interment in Newton Cemetery.
