Daniel E. Kane of Waltham, formerly of Auburndale, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the age of 79. Son of the late Daniel and Marie (Chaisson), Daniel was raised in Auburndale. After graduating Newton High School, he served his country in the US Air Force. He worked locally in the service industry and as a driver for the Ride. Daniel was an avid sports fan who loved to watch the Red Sox and enjoyed watching Jeopardy nightly. Above all, he loved his family and cherished time spent with his grandchildren.
Daniel is survived by his daughters Donna Lamken and her husband Johnny of Wareham, Robyn Sloniecki and her husband Jamie of Bourne and Danyelle MacCallum and her husband Mike of Tyngsborough. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren Joanna and her husband Jim, Jonathan and his partner Courtney, Matthew and his wife Kayleigh, Cody, Dylan and Keven as well as 5 great-grandchildren Andrew, Ashley, Anna, Aiden and Kyle.
Visiting hour will be held Saturday, December 26th from 10-11AM in the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated privately in Corpus Christi – St. Bernard Parish in West Newton.
