Dickran 'Dick' Babigian of Newton at the age of 95 years old passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He suffered from complications of Parkinson's Disease. He was born November 12, 1924 in Lowell, MA to Hovannes and Mary Babigian. Was a dear brother of the late Ara and John Babigian. A WWII Navy veteran who served proudly aboard the USS Knapp, Dick graduated from Northeastern University and loved his work as a CPA. He was married for 45 years to the late Barbara (Voci) Babigian. Devoted father to Dickran Jr. and daughter Elisa. Also survived by daughter-in-law Sally Babigian, niece Elizabeth O'Brien and loving extended family. He adored his two grandchildren, Jake and Ashley, and enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and playing backgammon. Dick was very well respected and loved. One could always count on hearing his latest (bad) joke and enjoying his smile and laughter as he shared it with you.

Dick's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 7th at Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington Street in West Newton, MA. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 10:30 at Newton Cemetery. 791 Walnut Street in Newton. In lieu of flowers kindly make memorial contributions to the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA)
