Giuffre, Evelyn , 95, of Hingham formerly of Newton Centre died peacefully at home on October 13th surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her cherished son, Mark Duffy of Holliston and two granddaughters, Erin Kyle Duffy of Franklin and Keri Lynn Duffy of St Albans, UK and a large extended family of nephews, nieces, and great nieces and nephews. She was the beloved sister of Joyce Glassman of VA and Marilyn Strachan of Hanover and the late Betty LeClair, Virginia Goldberg, Gloria McNeeley, Helen Hapel, Barbara Simon, Phyllis Sweeney and Ruth, Albert, Jack and Paul Sullivan.She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Giuffre. Evelyn enjoyed an illustrious career with American Airlines that spanned over four decades and enabled her to travel the world. She loved the arts often visiting the symphony and other cultural activities in the city of Boston. Evelyn will be remembered for her glamour and grace and particularly her fondness for beautiful hats. Funeral from the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St., (Rte. 16), West Newton, Wednesday, October 18 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 1321 Centre St., Newton Centre at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday evening from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Interment in Newton Cemetery.
