Janet (Roncari) Leccese, 88, of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Adelaide Memory Care. Born on June 7, 1936, in Boston, to Anna (Buzzi) and Alexander Roncari, she was raised in her beloved Dorchester and graduated from Jeremiah Burke High School. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years Gaetano "Gus" Leccese. Together, they raised three children. She worked as a sales associate at Filene's Department Store in the Burlington Mall for 34 years. Janet was known for her impeccable sense of fashion, her love of reading, movies, the Boston Globe, and socializing. She is survived by her brother Philip and his wife Carol of Billerica, her children Mark and his wife Meredith of Brookline, Michael and his wife Debra of North Andover, and Christine and her husband Mike of Newton. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren Corryn, Tony, Juliet, Shanna, and Jae, and 3 great grandchildren, Arianny, Enzo, and Ignazio.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 12th at 10AM in St. Ignatius of Loyola, 28 Commonwealth Ave, Chestnut Hill. Visiting hours will be held Monday, February 10th from 4-7PM in the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, Wellesley Hills.
