Joan F. Carter (Cooper), a lifelong resident of Newton, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, at age 81. Beloved wife of William C. Carter Sr. and loving mother of William Jr. and (fiancée Susan Lundbohn) of Newton and grandmother to Calvin MacDonald.

Daughter to the late William H. Cooper and Barbara L (Hill) Cooper. Dear sister of Shirley Wright of Worcester, Marcia Cooper of Newton, Walter Cooper of Newton, Stephen Cooper of Danvers, Roger Cooper of Newton, Dale Burton of Newton and the late William Cooper Jr., she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather in the Myrtle Baptist Church, 21 Curve St., West Newton, for visiting hours, Tuesday, December 27 from 11 AM - 12:30PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:30PM.
