Joan Wood (Douglas) Quincy Mass previously of South Yarmouth died from complications of pneumonia on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 She was 88.

She was predeceased by her husband, Reverend Clifton, J Wood, Senior, her daughters, Laurie Wood and Caroline Smith, and her son-in-law Doug Wood-Boyle. She was also pre-deceased by her sister, Caroline Sherman.

She survived by her daughter, Reverend Linda Wood-Boyle of Waltham a son, Clifton J Wood, Junior of Sturbridge, a granddaughter, Amanda Spolidoro, and her husband, David of Millbury , grandson Clifton, J Wood the third of Sturridge and son-in-law, Ken Smith of Grafton. She also leaves behind two dearly loved great grandchildren.

Joan spent her adult life initially as a pastor's wife in four parishes, in Maine while raising four children. When Clifton retired from Ministry, they moved to Cape Cod, and Joan became the business manager of a large nonprofit in Hyannis, and then the CFO of a profit business with locations throughout Cape cod She retired in 2005 and moved to Quincy to be closer to her family.
