Marcia Ann Cabral (Gentes) of Ashland, formerly of Wellesley passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the age of 72. Beloved daughter of the late David "China" and Barbara Gentes. She was a graduate of Wellesley High School Class of 1968 and Aquinas College.

She is the loving mother of David Cabral and his wife Beth of Medway, MA , Christine Dupuis and her husband Brian of Chester, VA and Tara Fernsebner of Ashland, MA, and doting grandmother of nine whom she adored deeply: Jessica Dupuis, Jillian Dupuis, Jacob Dupuis and husband Levi, Nicholas Cabral, Jeffrey Dupuis, Maggie Cabral, Danny Lynn, Amaya Fernsebner and Addie Lynn.

Marcia is the sister of Karen Iris, Margaret Minkle, Bernadette Menz, Diane Ehrmjian, Peter Gentes, David Gentes, her twin sister Marie Mullin, and the late Paul Gentes. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Marcia worked for over thirty years as an administrative assistant at Brandeis University in the Biology Department. She loved spending time in Scituate, vacationing in Virginia and the Outer Banks, sitting and listening to the waves. She was a voracious reader and had an affinity for giraffes. She also enjoyed bird watching and singing to 70's music in the car. Her most favorite thing to do was to sit around the table with her siblings, friends, kids, and grandkids, drinking coffee, reminiscing and laughing. Above all else, Marcia treasured spending time with her family. She will be missed and loved for eternity.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 16th at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Rd. Wellesley followed by interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4-7PM in the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St. Wellesley. The family has requested that masks please be worn.

In lieu of flowers donations in Marcia's memory can be made to David Cabral's Pan Mass Challenge for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
