Mark
Messore
June 2, 1959 – October 28, 2025
Mark Messore, age 66, passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2025, after a courageous 3-year battle with esophageal cancer. Born in Cambridge, Mark grew up in Belmont before moving to Boston and eventually settled down in Wellesley where he and his wife Linda raised their family.
Mark was the beloved husband of Linda Messore and together they shared 31 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion. He was the proud father of Christina, Anthony, and Mikey. He was the cherished son of the late Anthony and Barbara Messore, treasured brother of Jeff and his wife Mandy and brother of Lisa.
Mark married Linda in 1994, and they settled down in Wellesley to build their family. Mark was tremendously dedicated to his family. He could be found cheering from the sidelines at any event his children participated in, whether that be during Christina's dance and theater performances, Anthony's football games and wrestling matches, or Mikey's hockey and lacrosse games. Mark coached both Anthony and Mikey early on in their football careers and made many strong and lasting connections during that time. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and working with his hands – all hobbies that he shared with his children. He found joy in every moment with his family – guiding them through the challenges and celebrating the accomplishments. Mark will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, and his unwavering love for his family.
Mark started his career in systems development at Liberty Mutual and then moved on to Fidelity, where he met his wife Linda, and remained for 26 years. In 2008, Mark retired and began his own construction business, Custom Built by Mark Messore.
The family wishes to express their extreme appreciation to all the doctors and nurses at the Mass General Cancer Center at Newton Wellesley Hospital for their unwavering support and caring treatment throughout his 3-year battle. They became friends as well as caretakers to both Mark and Linda.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute at
