Mary (Dottie) Dorothy Prendergast, of Newton Upper Falls passed away peacefully at Marie Esther in Marlborough on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the age of 94. Born, raised and lived her life in Newton in the house built by her Dad. She was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Lynch) Prendergast of Connecticut and the late Walter L. Prendergast of Newton Upper Falls, sister of the late Margaret (Peggy) McEnaney and late husband Thomas M. McEnaney of Dartmouth. Dear friend to Florence (Cappy) Capobianco of Wellesley and Esther Prestera of Newton. Predeceased by Helen Brown, Anna Daley, Marie Davis and Kay Mullen all of Newton.

Dottie worked as a bookkeeper for most of her working life at Calverts in Needham, while caring for her mother and sister in their later years. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, golfing, bowling, knitting, crocheting, sewing, playing the organ, baking, traveling, watching sporting events, word searches, and Lawrence Welk.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at St. Bartholomew's in Needham at 10:00. Burial will be private.
