Mary Murphy (Miller) age 85, of Newton and Wareham, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023.

Mary is survived by her dear husband of 58 years, Richard J. "Dick" Murphy; her sons William, his partner Amber Conley and daughter Bridget of Gloucester; Christopher of Newton; and Daniel, his wife Elizabeth of Coventry CT and their children Emma and Ryan.

A proud alumna of Boston College and former school psychologist, she lived a life of service. She was a dedicated volunteer at St. Francis House in Boston and a devoted participant in countless Parish and Archdiocesan programs.

Visiting Hours will be held at Burke and Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington Street, West Newton, MA 02465 on Monday, March 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in Sacred Heart Church, 1321 Centre St. Newton, MA at 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. All at invited to attend.
