Natalie A. King, of Newton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on September 12, 1939, in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charles Longo and Mary (Corrao) Longo.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years Gordon F. King. Together, they built a loving family that includes their son Joseph King and his wife Michelle of Framingham, and their daughter Carolyn Doherty and her husband Bernard of Framingham. She was the proud "Nana" to Tyler King and Katie Doherty and a cherished step-grandmother to Stephen Devoll, Brendon Devoll, and Bernard Doherty III. She is also survived by her sister Antonette L. Shea of Holbrook, Massachusetts and predeceased by her loving sister Marie E. Sangiolo.
A graduate of Northeastern University with a liberal arts degree, she worked for 25 years as a bank teller and IRA specialist, mainly at Waltham Federal Savings bank. In addition, she was very active at Corpus Christi-St. Bernard Church, being a Sunday School teacher for 20 years, singing in the choir and was a Eucharistic Minister. She also enjoyed family gatherings, watching her grandchildren, volunteering, bowling and cheering on the Boston Red Sox.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 26th at 1PM in Corpus Christi-St. Bernard Church, West Newton, followed by interment in Newton Cemetery. Visiting hour will be held immediately prior to the Mass from 11:30AM-12:30PM in Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, West Newton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Natalie's memory may be made to Corpus Christi - St. Bernard Parish.
Natalie's legacy of love and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those she leaves behind.
