Norma J. Jones, formerly of Boston, Mass. passed away on July 13, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Norma is forever reunited with her husband and true love, David Jones.
Norma was a devoted mother of Kenneth Simon Jr. and fiancé Kristin Jacka of Naples, FL, Christopher Simon and his wife Tina of Wellesley, Mass., Kurt Simon and his wife Katherine of New York, NY, and Catherine Keating and her husband Benjamin of Boston, Mass.
Norma loved and cherished her 10 grandchildren Kenneth III, Emily, Stephanie, Samantha, Justin, Chloe, Benjamin, Matthew, Thomas and Hannah.
Norma also leaves her brother Paul McGough and his wife MaryJane of Broomall, PA., extended family, and many cherished friends.
Norma was a dedicated NICU nurse at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston for many years as well as a nurse at Mass Mental Health Center. She also enjoyed her life in the Back Bay of Boston, volunteering at the Museum of Fine Arts as a docent and at the MSPCA . Capable of lighting up any room, Norma had an incredible passion for fun and adventure including attending a royal wedding with her granddaughters and traveling abroad. Her lifelong passions were reading (particularly the Boston Globe), throwing fabulous parties with family and friends, as well as following the Kennedys and the Royals. In retirement Norma was most happy walking around the Back Bay with her beloved Cocker Spaniels. Norma will be missed by many.
We are forever grateful to Carol Sheehan and the staff at NewBridge on the Charles for their compassion, care and support for our dear Norma.
Family and Friends are invited to honor and remember Norma’s life for a funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church in Wellesley Mass on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 10am followed by a celebration of life lunch at Woodland Golf Club in Auburndale, Mass.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or to the Children's Mental Health Campaign through the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
