Peter Thomas "Tuna" Abcunas raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a long time resident of West Newton and part time resident of Bradenton, Florida, passed away April 4, 2025, at the age of 81 surrounded by his family.

He was the husband for 49 wonderful years to the late Patricia (Harney) Abcunas. He was the son of the late Peter and Mildred (Plausky) Abcunas. Survived by his sons Peter and his wife Lori of Ashland and Michael and his wife Danielle of West Newton. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Ryan, Daniel, Colten and Riley who adored him greatly. He was the brother of the late Richard Abcunas and is survived by his sister-in-law Marguerite Abcunas, and his sister Marilyn Donahe of Cambridge, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He worked for over 30 years at Western Electric, AT & T, and Lucent Technologies. He also worked part time at Boston College collecting tickets to many sporting events like hockey, football, and basketball. He enjoyed spending time with his sons, grandkids, and friends. Throughout his time he enjoyed traveling, watching hockey, football, baseball, horse racing, doing endless puzzles, gardening, and being around his friends and family. He enjoyed many activities with his grandchildren and loved being with his beloved wife Patricia. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
