Robert "Bob" Barry, 78, of Bayonet Point, FL passed away on May 18, 2018. A resident of FL for the past 38 years. Formerly of Newton Highlands, MA and Lincoln, RI. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joan Keenan Barry., son Kevin (Heidi) of Maitland, FL and daughter Kyle (Noel) Pardo of Marion, MA. Also, five grandchildren, Brooke and Ryan of Maitland, FL and Julia, Michael and Laura of Marion MA. A brother, Paul Barry (Jackie) of Safety Harbor, FL. Robert is predeceased by his parents Paul and Mary Driver Barry of Bellingham, MA and his sister, Carol Hamilton of Contoocook, NH.




Robert retired as Vice President of Merrill Lynch after 35 years in the investment industry. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Newton Center, MA and Northeastern University with a degree in finance and economics. He later served as President of the Northeastern University Rhode Island Alumni. Bob was active for many years as President, Charter Member, and Paul Harris Fellow of the Port Richey Rotary Club; past board member of Pasco Boy's and Girl's Club, past finance committee member at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, past board member of Beacon Woods Golf Club and previously elected Chairman of Lincoln, RI School Committee.




Visitation at Burke and Blackington Funeral Home in West Newton, MA on May 26 at 9:00 am followed by a funeral mass at St. Bernard's Church, 1523 Washington Street, West Newton, MA at 10:00 am. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 8014 State Rd. 52, Hudson, FL.34667.
