Robert D. "Ruben" Fogerty passed away August 11, 2018, after a long illness, at his residence in Natick. He was 78 years old.
Mr. Fogerty was the son of the late Richard and late Mary (Hill) Fogerty of Wellesley, He was the husband of Lorraine Fogerty (O'Brien) for over 50 years and had resided in Natick since 1969.
Mr. Fogerty was raised in Wellesley, graduated Wellesley High School Class of 1959 and worked as a Firefighter for the Town of Wellesley from 1967 until his retirement in 1993. He was the longtime President of the Fire Relief Association of Wellesley and Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Fogerty was also a carpenter and an avid Red sox and Patriots fan.
He is survived by his wife Lorraine M. Fogerty and daughter Kara A. Sandock and her husband Matthew of Shrewsbury. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Katherine Sandock of Shrewsbury and his brother Richard Fogerty of Wellesley. He was predeceased by his daughter Sharon Fogerty and twin brother Ronald Fogerty.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday August 16 at 10:30AM in St Paul's Church, 502 Washington Street in Wellesley. Visiting hours will be Wednesday form 4-8PM in the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St., Wellesley, MA 02481. Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Natick Service Council, 2 Webster St., Natick MA 01760
