Carmel, Roger R., of Stoughton, Marlboro & Newton, by accident, October 17, 2018. Devoted father of Jason and Connor Carmel and husband to former wife Stephanie Munro. Beloved son of Judith Carmel of Framingham and the late Roger A. Carmel. Dear brother of Jennifer Comeau and her husband Stephen of Stoughton, Michelle Morrison and her husband Richard of Stoughton and Nancy Carmel of Natick. Loving uncle of Paul, James, Nicholas, Shawn, Nicole and Lindsey. Also survived by his two comrades Jim Caira and Jimmy McHale. Roger worked at Northeastern University as a heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technician. He was known as "The best tin knocker." He grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton North. He was loved by all who knew him and will always be a friend of Bill W. Visiting hours will be held in the Burke & Blackington Funeral home, 1479 Washington St., (Rte.16), West Newton, Monday, October 22 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Service in the Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St., Newton Centre, Tuesday, October 23 at 3PM.
