Rose (Capasso) Doucette of Natick, formerly of West Newton and previously of East Boston passed away peacefully on January 22 nd at the age of 101. Beloved wife of the late, Joseph Ernest Doucette and survived by her four children: Deborah Doucette, Robert Doucette, Gary Doucette and his wife Patty, and Joan Doucette and her partner David. Rose was the cherished grandmother of Tyra Penn-Gesek and her husband Chris, Tasha Belason and her husband Tom, Dane Dudman and his wife Erica, Sabra Dudman, Adam Doucette and his wife Kristie, Matthew Doucette and his wife Nicole and Jenna Reid and her husband Tom. Rose was also the cherished great-grandmother of Leah Doucette, Annie Doucette, Cassidy Belason, Finn Belason, Addison Doucette, Colette Doucette, Camryn Doucette, Maison Dudman and Zoey Dudman. Many of the granddaughters and great-granddaughters were named after Rose, each of them sharing Rose as their middle name.

Rose was predeceased by her loving parents, Vincent Capasso and Lougina Capasso as well as her devoted sisters, Jeanette Micciantuono, Dahlia Roche, and brother, Donato Capasso all formerly of West Newton.

Rose worked for many decades as a retail associate at Jordan Marsh and later at Lord and Taylor into her 80s. She had many hobbies such as painting, cooking and decorating but her greatest passion was gardening.

Funeral services will be held at the Newton Cemetery Chapel in Newton on January 25th at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the St. Jude hospital for children.
