Sandra (Sandy) L. Harajovic, née Gallant, born November 8, 1943, in Newton, Massachusetts, died peacefully on April 21, 2026 after an unfortunate battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Sandy was the beloved daughter of Lillian (Heaney) Gallant and William Gallant. Sandy was truly larger than life — warm, funny, and gifted at making everyone she met feel special. She discovered a passion for interior decorating later in life and made it her work, bringing beauty and comfort to countless homes. She also had a great sense of fashion and always carried herself with style and confidence. For more than half her life, she shared a loving partnership with Gerrald Butterworth. Together, they cherished traveling, spending summers on the Cape and winters in Florida, creating years of meaningful memories with not only each other, but also many friends and family.

Sandy is survived by her beloved children: Cherie Meany of Framingham, Julie Brown of Needham, and John Harajovic of North Carolina. She also leaves behind her three cherished grandchildren: Alex Brown (Tyra) of Needham, Heather Meany (Brian) of Framingham, and Micah Nuzum of North Carolina, all of whom she adored deeply. She is also survived by her brothers William (Lynne) Gallant of Indiana and Robert (Janice) Gallant of Arizona, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Harajovic; her sister, Lillette Hickey; her parents, Lillian and William Gallant; and her beloved partner, Gerry.

Those who knew Sandy will remember her quick wit, generous spirit, and the way she made every room feel brighter. She lived a life well lived and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Funeral Mass will be cellebrated on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 12:30PM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Rd. Wellesley.
