Sheila L. Saltzman (Annese) 70, of The Villages, FL, formerly of Medway, MA passed away, surrounded by her family in Cumberland, RI, on August 3, 2021 after a long illness. She was born in Boston to the late John J and late Margaret (Hastings) Annese. She was raised in Brookline and was a graduate of Brookline High school.
While attending Brookline High, Sheila met her future husband of 50+ years, William "Bill" Saltzman. Later they were longtime residents of Medway, where they raised their family. She worked as claims adjuster for Norfolk in Dedham Mutual Insurance
Sheila enjoyed the social aspect of The Villages, FL, attending many functions. She played golf and pickleball. She was an avid in crafts with particular interests in making pine baskets and glass bowls. Sheila was also a doting grandmother traveling back and forth from Florida to visit with her grandchildren and family.
Sheila is survived by her husband William Saltzman of The Villages, FL, her children, Julie Ann Saltzman of Franklin, MA, William Saltzman III and his wife Kerry of Cumberland, RI and her grandchildren, Haley, CJ, William IV and Abigail. She is also survived by her sisters, Marcia Hall and her husband Bob of Newport, NH and Lisa Brodeur and her husband Paul of Natick, MA, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Sharon McCampbell who passed away in 2019.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Henry J. Burke and Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St (Rt. 16) Wellesley Hills on Tuesday August 10 at 12PM. Visiting hours will be prior to the service from 11AM-12PM. Interment will immediately follow the service in Glenwood Cemetery, South Natick.
