Sook (Mary) Oh Ryu was a devoted wife, selfless mother, grandmother, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She left this world suddenly on December 5, 2023 at age 76.

She has been together with her beloved husband, Je Bang Ryu for 48 years. Together, they had 3 children, Hyun Sook, Kwang Yong, and Jung Hyun, along with loving children-in-law, Michael and Soo. She adored her 5 grandchildren, Audrey, Emily, Nicholas, Benjamin, and Catherine.

She was a globe trotter, having lived in 3 different countries, South Korea, Germany, and the United States. Taking care of those who are in most need was her true calling as a nurse. She found beauty in everything in nature and captured it with passion in her paintings. Her love and compassion touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her spirit continue to inspire us to love openly, live fully, and be kind to all.

Her funeral service is scheduled for 9 am visitation and 10 am mass on Friday, December 8, 2023, at St. Antoine Daveluy Parish at Corpus Christi, 45 Ash St, Auburndale, MA 02466.
