Steven Eliot Baker, son of Isadore "Al" and Norma D. (Winthrop) Baker, passed away after a tragic accident on August 24, 2024. He grew up in Newton and attended Newton schools. Following in his mother's footsteps, he owned and operated shoe stores specializing in "fancy" women's shoes. In his spare time Steven was an avid reader and wonderful piano player. He played in a band growing up and entertained at many events.

Predeceased by his parents and brother Gary Baker of Florida, he leaves a caring family of friends.
Steven was a kind and gentle person whose smile will forever be embedded in the hearts and minds of those who truly knew and loved him.

Friends will gather to remember Steven at calling hours, Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 3-5PM in the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, West Newton.
