Devoted daughter of Joan and the late James J. Callahan of Newton. Dear sister of John Callahan and his wife Allyson of Newton and James Callahan of Newton. Sister in Law of Lynn Harris, Robin Lafferty, and Robert Bemis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St., Newton, Thursday, June 21 from 9:30 -10:30 followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30. Visiting hours will be held in the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St., (Rte.16), West Newton, Wednesday evening from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in Susan's memory to the Charity of the donor's choice.
