Vincent I. Hayes, longtime resident of Newton. December 4, 2017. Beloved husband of Linda (Pucciarelli). Loving father of Andrew Hayes and his wife Wendy of Long Beach, NY and Matthew Hayes and his wife Rebecca of Framingham. Dear brother to Mary Little of Falmouth, Patricia Claybrook of Falmouth, Thomas Hayes of Belmont, Timothy Hayes of Falmouth and Donna Hayes of Belmont. Also survived by 4 treasured grandchildren Matthew, Jonathan, William and Charlotte, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10AM in the Chapel at Newton Cemetery 791 Walnut St. Newton. Visiting hours will be Friday, December 15 from 4-7PM at the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St. West Newton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Hayes' memory may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.Cancer.org.
Mr. Hayes was a proud veteran of the US National Guard. In his retirement he greatly enjoyed spending time with his wife and grandchildren, traveling and playing golf.
