William Timothy Dobson ("Tim" and sometimes "Bill"), 76, of Boston, MA, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023. His sense of humor and love of life will be missed by all who knew him.

Born in New Hyde Park, NY to Virginia (Gillen) Dobson and William Timothy Dobson III, he grew up in Newton, MA where he attended Sacred Heart Catholic school, served in the Navy, received his degree in architecture from Pratt Institute In New York, NY and practiced architecture in New York and New Jersey. Tim and his wife Patricia (Weir) of almost 45 years raised their family in Westfield, NJ and then moved to Boston in 2020 to be near family and return to Tim's roots where he frequented Red Sox games, cheered on the Boston Celtics and spent countless hours spoiling his granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Dobson; daughters Katherine Dobson Buckley (husband, Daniel Buckley) and Sarah Dobson; granddaughter Elizabeth Buckley; brothers Stewart Dobson, Paul Dobson and Peter Dobson; sister Deborah (Dobson) McKenna; and his nieces, nephews and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 23 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in Burke & Blackington Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 24th at noon in Sacred Heart Parish, Newton Centre followed by interment in Newton Cemetery.
