William A. Walsh, a longtime resident of Auburndale, passed away Friday, August 27, 2023 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of 61 years of Catherine E Walsh, he was the loving father of James Walsh and his wife Jennifer of Milford, MA, and Kevin Walsh and his wife Carol of Ashland, MA; devoted grandfather of Michael Walsh and his wife Leah of Longmeadow, MA, Timothy Walsh and his fiancé Brittany Hill of Grafton, MA, Marisa Walsh and her fiancé Will Moriarty and Kyle Walsh as well as great-granddaughter Evelyn.

Son of the late Elden & Jean Walsh, he was the dear brother of Mary Duffy and Shirley McHugh and the late John & Robert Walsh.

Mr. Walsh worked for over 30 years as an operator for the MBTA. He will be remembered as truly good person who never had a bad word to say about anyone.

Visiting hour will be held at the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, Friday, September 1, 2023 from 10-11AM, concluding with a funeral service at 11AM. Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery.
